Cross posting from Pigs, Gourds, and Wikis

So, I've decided to cross post my technical articles from Pigs, Gourds, and Wikis here as well. You can use the labels cloud to find them (click on Tech or Tips). They have the same dates as when they were originally published on my other blog.

You say you write books "without treating you like an idiot." Well, I am an idiot, at least when it comes to HTML, CSS, and all things web developer related. I was checking out your 6th edition book and was going to buy it on Amazon, but since it was written in 2006, I'm wondering what, if anything, might be out of date? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to websites, so I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks

What I mean is that the book starts at the beginning and doesn't leave out any of the important bits. It's a great reference, has a complete index so you can find what you need.

It's completely up-to-date despite its 2006 copyright. HTML moves pretty slowly since they don't want to move onto stuff that's not yet supported in browsers. HTML5 is coming, but it's not here yet (some say not til 2013).

Hope that's helpful.

I am an idiot when it comes to this and I need to get to where I actually understand this stuff for myself, so your comment that it's completely up to date is very helpful. I'm going to order it this morning.

Thanks!
